Hanoi, one of the intriguing cities of the world, especially from the back of a Vespa. It’s just the beginning of an exploration of Vietnam and Cambodia that provides you everlasting memories. You will also travel to Halong Bay on a two night cruise aboard Au Co on the heritage listed bay taking in the splendour of this natural world. 

Moving south to Saigon you will be immersed, not only into a world of darkness as you dine at Noir but also into the culture of Vietnam as you witness the acrobatic story telling of the Ahh Ohh show. All the while amongst the frenetic pace of the every expanding and changing city of Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City.

Starts off sampling the local Café culture in the heart of the old quarter. We then set off for a ride through the city’s iconic narrow streets and head into the heart of the historic Old Quarter. Alighting at the railway tracks, we can see how the locals live & work, just centimetres from the train tracks in tall narrow houses. We then go to a bustling & vibrant open market to shop with the local people from Hanoi. After zooming through narrow alleyways, we reach the crash site of an American B-52 bomber in a city lake and learn of the city’s more recent history before visiting a peaceful Buddhist temple set in the most beautiful gardens. Following by a tasting of Hanoi’s delicacy, Banh Cuon. We will finalize the adventure, experiencing a traditional Vietnamese dessert or local coffee.

In the late afternoon, you will take a walking tour of the City to discover the unique flavors of the Vietnamese cuisine. This will give you the chance to encounter Hanoi’s local specialties such as Bun Cha & Cha Ca.  Begin your tour at a local Hanoian Market to see the wide range of beautiful produce available. You then will proceed into the old quarters to sample the different types of cuisine before concluding the tour into the nightlife.

After breakfast head out to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Ha Long you will board your luxury The Au Co for a 2 night cruise amongst the more than 3,000 limestone islands rising majestically out of the turquoise bay. After a delicious lunch, cruise leisurely toward South East Ha Long Bay, passing by Chicken Crock, Finger Islet, Toad Islet.

Stop at Dark & Bright Lagoon for your kayaking or bamboo boating. Then back to boat and choose from several interesting activities: a cooking demonstration with chef on board, an optional traditional massage, or a drink at bar counter.

After a delightful 5 Elements dinner, you can try your luck at squid fishing or simply get to know the friendly crew.

Start the day with calming Tai Chi, often accompanied by an amazing sunrise or simply enjoy the breathtaking views. After breakfast on board, you’ll arrive at Cat Ba Island. Enjoy a relaxing bicycle ride and explore the national park on this island.

Lunch is served back on board while the cruise towards to Ho Ba Ham and explore this area by kayak. Opt to join a special tour to the Bridge and Engine Room with the captain and chief engineer. Back to the board for relaxation on board.

Enjoy a barbeque buffet in the restaurant.

Enjoy the sunrise, the lapping waves, the fresh sea air, the gentle breeze or get up at your leisure. Start the day with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay while The Au Co cruises leisurely in Lan Ha Bay.

Then back to Ha Long Bay, explore the biggest cave in Ha Long – Surprise Cave.

Prepare for check out and join a Vietnamese traditional tea ceremony. You then return to the dock.

Our guide and driver pick you up at hotel in Saigon for transfer out to have breakfast with Vietnam traditional food – Pho at Pho Ngoc Quan – hem 30 Lo Gioi. After breakfast, continue to have a cup of ice coffee with good tasting.

Then, we start the Saigon city tour with a visit to the colorful flower market (or local market) before entering the FITO traditional museum and its amazing collection of objects and facts about ancient medicinal techniques.

In the afternoon visit the Reunification Palace, the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The nearby Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883, is a major centre of Catholicism in modern Vietnam, and one of the city’s major landmarks.

Next to the cathedral stands the Saigon Post Office, a classic French colonial structure, is still a functioning post office today and features huge ceilings, a giant portrait of Uncle Ho, and many beautiful details.

Afternoon enjoy À Ố Show (Aah ticket) that is a new kind of art performance surpassing all the limits of previous art shows in Vietnam over the years. The audience is offered the opportunity to let their imagination run, set off by the visual creation and lighting of each performance.  The chastity of bamboo, the basket boat and its use in the daily life of many Vietnamese are leading visuals for the show. During the 60 minute show, the audience is gently introduced to many different tones of emotion, and some may see flashes of their own reflection through the vivid yet poetical rendering. It is almost as if the audience were privy to a Vietnamese dream of life, survival, love and everything in between.

After breakfast, head out to visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, surrounded by an 8m high wall. Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. Continue to Bayon Temple in the exact centre of the city. This 12th century masterpiece is a study in grandeur, its exterior gallery walls featuring extensive, superb bas-reliefs, particularly the East and South Galleries. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.

After a short relaxing break, continue to visit Ta Prohm Temple, unlike most other Angkor temples, has been left just it was when rediscovered: a photogenic and atmospheric maze of trees growing out of temple ruins amidst jungle surroundings, making it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors.

Later this afternoon, you will explore Angkor Wat, easily the most famous and best-preserved of all temples within the Angkor complex. It is a massive three-tiered structure crowned by five lotus-like towers rising 65 meters from ground level. The centrepiece of any visit to the temples around Siem Reap, Angkor offers many iconic sights for amazing pictures.

The end of your day, depart for Angkor Panorama Museum, art museum known for its scale models of local historic sites, plus panoramic paintings & films.

  • Local market, farm experience tour with hands on Khmer cooking class and Banteay Srei

Depart Siem Reap for joining hands with an effort to support reforestation progress in Cambodia by planting a tree in Preah Dak Village. It may be a jackfruit or mango tree, which will later help both carbon offsetting and directly benefiting the local community.

Later begin to learn about Cambodian vegetables, herbs, spices and other ingredients and their uses in Khmer cuisine. Next, you will be shown how to prepare these delicious dishes. The hands-on experience is a great way to learn about the cuisine, similar to Thai cuisine but less spicy. At the end of our course, indulge in a dinner of your own preparations

The remainder of the day, visit the pretty temple of Banteay Srei. The so-called “Citadel of Women” remains the best-preserved temple in Cambodia. It displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art and is noted for its truly remarkably fine bas-reliefs. Banteay Srei is unique in that it is constructed of pink sandstone, which is seen nowhere else in Angkor.
